Bartholomew Ogbeche took his goal tally to five goals in the Dutch Eredivisie this season with his brace on Saturday as SC Cambuur beat Dordrecht 4-1 to go fourth in the log.
Cambuur are on 15 points, three points behind leaders PSV and two points behind Ajax Amsterdam and PEC Zwolle.
Daniel de Ridder netted for the hosts in the opening minute before Ogbeche’s double and another goal from Sander van de Streek made it four.
In France, goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama was further demystified on Sunday after conceding three goals when Lyon beat Lille at the Stade de Gerland in the French Ligue 1. Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette was the Nigerian’s nemesis as the Frenchman got assists from Nabil Fekir and Yoann Gourcuff to give his side the lead in the first half. He later got another assist from Clinton N’Jie to complete his hat trick in the second half.
Last season, Enyeama emerged as the second best keeper in the history of Ligue 1 after keeping clean sheets for 1,062 minutes, but this season he has conceded eight goals in all of Lille’s 10 games so far.
In England, Nedum Onuoha was in the spotlight for the wrong reason on Sunday after helping their opponents West Ham take the lead as early as the fifth minute at the Boleyn Ground. The former Manchester City defender, instead of clearing a Diafra Sakho shot, deflected it into QPR’s net to gift their hosts the lead.
Nedum, who was making his second appearance for QPR this season, last scored against Nottingham Forest in April when they campaigned in the Championship.
Raheem Lawal was substituted in the 72nd minute as EskiÅŸehirspor went down 2-1 at home to Godfrey Oboabona’s Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig.
Lawal has started all five games for his side, while it was Oboabona’s second appearance for his club this season.
Gaziantepspor striker John Chibuike scored his first league goal of the season on Saturday as his side lost 4-2 to Kasimpasa in the Turkish Süper Lig.
Chibuike, who came on as a second half substitute, found the back of the net in just 10 minutes.
His teammate and compatriot, Gbenga Arokoyo, was substituted in the 46th minute.
