NOTICE TO ALL 300 LEVEL SCIENCE EDUCATION STUDENTS IN THE
FOLLOWING PROGRAMMES: B. Sc (Ed) Biology, B. Sc (Ed) Agricultural, B. Sc (Ed)
Science, B. Sc (Ed) Chemistry, B. Sc.(Ed) Physics, B. Sc (Ed) Integrated Science, B. Sc. (Ed)
Computer Science & B. Sc. (Ed) Mathematics
1. This is to inform all undergraduate students of Science Education that practical activities
for all the three hundred level Students (300 levels) in the above stated programmes have
been scheduled as follows:
 DAYS TIME PROGRAMMES
Tuesday 12.00noon – 2.00p.m. Agric Chemistry Physics
Wednesday 12.00noon – 2.00p.m. Biology Integrated Science Maths & Computer
Thursday 12.00noon – 2.00p.m. Agric Chemistry Physics
Friday 10.00a.m. – 12.00 noon Biology Integrated Science Maths & Computer
2. The course, SED 305-Practicum in Science Teaching (2 credits), for all 300 level Science
Education students in the above named programmes.
3. Affected students are to download the course material from the university website and
follow the practical activities as indicated in the manual.
4. Students are to use plain sheets for the practical activities and put the sheets in a file.
They should also come with their laboratory coats and drawing materials.
5. The practical activities will take place in the laboratories designated by the Study
Centre Directors. Students in Agidingbi, McCarthy and Apapa are to come to the
Headquarters for their practicals.
6. The practical activities will serve as TMA for the course and it will carry 30% while
the examination will carry 70%.
7. The practical activities will commence on Tuesday, 12th August, 2014. Students are
to note that it is compulsory to do the practicals and pass the course.
